No Waiting in Line For Building Permits in Middletown
The form may be completed online and a resident may come in, pay the fees and pick up the permit without completing paper forms.
The city of Middletown has launched the first “Citizen Application” on its website so residents and contractors may submit requests for building permits online.
Mayor Sebastian N. Giuliano has asked staff to look for new opportunities to engage residents in new and productive means.
The permit may be completed online and a resident may come in, pay the fees and pick up the permit without completing paper forms. If payment is mailed in, the permit will be mailed to the contractor.

Future versions will allow the city to accept credit card payments and email information to confirm applications and send receipts and permits.
This is the first step in which the city hopes to allow citizens to do business with the city 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
