Caroline A. Cusano, 33, of Middletown, died unexpectedly October 29, 2017. She was born in New Haven, May 21, 1984, a daughter of Luigi and Linda (Nostin) Cusano.
Caroline held a Master of Arts in Philosophy. She was searcher of truth, a student of philosophy that espoused an examined life. Her critical thinking led her to the pursuit of a Ph. D. Caroline was currently teaching core philosophy courses at Sacred Heart University. She also ran a small business with friends, hand-making skincare and soap products. Caroline enjoyed being in nature and hiking with her niece and nephew. She will be dearly missed by all who touched her spirit.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Amy and Stephen Vollono; her brother and sister-in-law, John and Sherry Cusano; her grandmother, Carmina Cusano; and her nieces and nephew, Eric and Sophia Vollono, and Abigail Cusano.
Funeral services were private. Arrangements were under the direction of The Wallingford Funeral Home. www.wallingfordfh.com.
