Douglas M. Burns, 39, of New Britain, husband of Sandra (Valentine) Burns, died Sunday March 4, 2018 in his home. He was born in Washington, D.C., son of Donald Burns of Somerset, NJ and the late Diane (Paguni) Burns.
Doug was a graduate of Xavier High School Class of 1996 and then graduated from the Connecticut School of Broadcasting, which led to his employment at CT-N. Doug was raised by his grandparents who owned and ran The Cabin Restaurant in Meriden, CT. He followed in their culinary footsteps with his love of exotic cuisine. Accompanying his fascination with food of all types, he also enjoyed music of every genre and playing piano/keyboard.

Besides his father and wife, he is survived by his children, his pride and joy, Emily Diane and Joseph Philip Burns, both of New Britain. He was predeceased by his mother and maternal grandparents, Philip and Rosemarie Paguni.
A memorial service and burial will be held on April 20 at St. Sebastian Cemetery, Middlefield.
