Ed was a very hard-working man. When not at his day job, he enjoyed spending time working on his farm in the Maromas section of Middletown. He was a big man with an even bigger heart and generous nature. He will be remembered for his tremendous love of family, friends, animals, and passion for agriculture.
He was a supporter of local 4H youth activities, vocational agriculture programs, and county fairs. He could often be found at the fairs pulling horses, watching tractor pulls, and laughing with friends. He often provided animal transport for any kids that did not have the means of doing so. Ed was a member of the Connecticut Draft Horse Association, and owned and loved many draft horses over the years. He also actively participated in other equine events including team penning, sorting, and ranch activities. He was the co-founder of Connecticut Ranch Horse Association.
