Obituary: Eugene Zadroga, 72, of Middletown

Eugene Zadroga

(January 15, 1943 - October 1, 2015)

Eugene Zadroga, 72, of Middletown, beloved husband of Karla (Gilbert) Zadroga, died Thursday October1, 2015 at Middlesex Hospital.

He was born in Middletown, son of Doris (Scovill) Clarke of Laverne, CA, and the late Stephen R. Zadroga. Eugene was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving with the U.S. Army. Prior to his retirement, he worked as a truck driver for 38 years traveling all across the country and retired from Greencycle Trucking in Farmington. He was a member of the Moose Club and enjoyed bowling, golfing and his trips to the casino.

Besides his wife Karla, Eugene is survived by his son Jason Gilbert of Middletown, daughter Tracie Duncan and her husband Henry of Meriden, brothers, Gerry Zadroga of CA, David and William Zadroga of Middletown, sister, Elizabeth Rumbolo of Laverne, CA, three grandsons, one great grandchild and many extended family members and friends. He was predeceased by his brothers Joseph, Charles and Stephen Zadroga.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 7, at 11 a.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St. Middletown. Burial with military honors will be held at the State Veterans’ Cemetery.
