Obituary: Helen Martha (Jackson) Pennington, 82, of Middletown

She sang in the church choir, the Middlesex Hospital Vocal Chords, belonged to a weekly Bridge Club, was very artistic and loved painting.

Helen Martha (Jackson) Pennington, 82, of Middletown, wife of the late Robert B. Pennington, MD, passed away on Friday, June 29, 2018 at her home. Born in Roseville, MI, she was the daughter of the late Julian and Grace (Worley) Jackson.

Helen was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Middletown for 20 years. She was a corporator of Middlesex Hospital Auxiliary and a volunteer. She also volunteered with many other various organizations. Helen sang in the church choir and in the Middlesex Hospital Vocal Chords, belonged to a weekly Bridge Club, and was very artistic and loved painting. During retirement, Helen and her husband enjoyed extensive travel throughout the world.

Helen is survived by four children, Linda K. Whitcomb and her husband, Michael of Florida, Robert B. Pennington, II and his wife, Stacey of Coventry, Jennifer Grace Pennington of Washington and William Dean Pennington of Middletown and her grandchildren, Jessalyn, Michael, Lukas, Nicolette and Victoria.
