Obituary: Lucia Aresco, 88, of Middletown

MIDDLETOWN, CT - (From D'Angelo Funeral Home): Lucia Aresco, 88, wife of the Late Goivanni Aresco of Middletown, passed away Wednesday at Portland Care and Rehab Center.

She was born November 20, 1931 in Melilli Sicily, daughter of the Late Emanuel And Giovanna Marie ( Bartolotta) Salafia. She was a member of St. Sebastian Church.

Prior to her retirement she was employed by Lin–Grace Garments and Her and her husband were owners of Aresco’s Market.

She is survived by a Son and daughter in Law Carmelo and Silvana Aresco.

Two daughters Nella Bafumi and her husband Joseph and Giovanna Belinsky and her husband Clint8 Grandchildren, 6 Great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by an Infant Daughter Nella and 4 four brothers and 1 sister.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 11 A.M. at St. Sebastian Church. Burial will follow in the family plot in St. Sebastian Cemetery.

There are no calling hours. D’Angelo Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. In Lieu of flowers Donations in her memory may be made to St. Sebastian Church or St. Judes Children’s Hospital.
