Obituary: Lucille ‘Suzie’ Berchulski, 88, of Middletown

Lucille “Suzie” (Leveque) Berchulski, 88, of Middletown, formerly of Haddam, wife of 50 years of Edward Berchulski, died Tuesday July 5, 2016 at Middlesex Healthcare. She was born in Presque Isle, ME, daughter of the late Anna and Emile Leveque.

Prior to her retirement, Suzie worked as a secretary for Dr. Hines at Gaylord Hospital. She had a unique personality and was very much a people person. That is why she enjoyed her time at The Village at South Farms and participating in their activities. Suzie will be missed by the staff and her neighbors, Marion and Shirley.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sisters, Jeanne McBurnie and Marcella Norton of ME, Joan McDermott and Hermanice Leveque of CT. She also leaves several nieces and nephews and too many friends to count. She was predeceased by siblings Ernestine Violette, Emilien Leveque and Fernand (Freddy) Leveque.
