Obituary: Maureen (Dunn) Murray, 74, of Middletown
Maureen, who worked at Middlesex Hospital for most of her career, was a fixture at Palmer Field watching her sons play baseball & football.

Maureen (Dunn) Murray, 74, of Middletown, died peacefully on Sunday, October 8, 2017, surrounded by her family. She was predeceased by her husband Richard Murray, who passed away in May of this year. Maureen was the daughter of the late Robert and Pauline (Gudones) Dunn.
Maureen, a life-long resident of Middletown, spent most of her working career at Middlesex Hospital. She worked as a unit secretary for many years before moving to the Middlesex Hospital Homecare from where she eventually retired. Maureen developed many friendships during her working career which she cherished dearly. Maureen loved watching her sons grow up while playing football and baseball. She was a fixture at Palmer Field. She especially enjoyed football Sundays, visits from her friends, the company of her dog Cody and spending time with her grandchildren.

Maureen is survived by her sons, Richard Murray and his wife Sherri of Portland, Sean Murray and his wife Robin Pisecki of Boynton Beach, FL, brother, George Dunn and his wife Rosemary, three grandchildren, Jessica, Allison and Connor Murray as well as several nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral Liturgy will be held on Friday, Oct. 13 at 1 p.m. at St. Pius X Church, Middletown. Friends may gather prior to the service from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St. Middletown. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Middletown. Memorial contributions may be made to Middlesex Hospital Hospice/Palliative Care, 28 Crescent Street, Middletown, CT 06457.
