Michael Paul Aitken, 41, of Middletown, passed suddenly at his home on January 15, 2017. Mikey was born in Middletown, son of Joan (Strom) Aitken and the late Howard D. Aitken Sr.
He enjoyed playing basketball, softball, volleyball and always looked forward to the mud volleyball tournament in the summer. He coached youth summer camps at Mitchell College. Mikey was a big supporter of the N.A and an avid Giants fan.

Besides his mom Joan, Mike is survived by his love and son’s mother, Alecia Kovach of Rockfall, a son, Eli Michael Aitken of Rockfall, a sister, Kathy Watrous of Niantic, five brothers, Howard Aitken Jr. of West Hartford, Steven Aitken of Durham, Joseph Aitken of Durham, David Aitken of Middletown, William Aitken of North Stonington, and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by a brother, Russell Curtis Aitken.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday January 24, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St. Middletown. Burial will be held at Middlefield Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Biega Funeral Home.
