Obituary: Robert A. Kerkes, 80, of Middletown
Bob, a devoted family man, worked as a civil engineer with the MDC in Hartford for many years.
MIDDLETOWN, CT - (From Biega Funeral Home) Robert A. Kerkes, 80, of Middletown, husband of the late Helen Rose (Scherber) Kerkes, passed away Thursday September 9, 2021 at Apple Rehab Center of Middletown, following a brief illness.
Bob was born in Bayonne, NJ, son of the late Andrew and Catherine (Peczynski) Kerkes. They moved to Deep River when he was 8.
Prior to his retirement Bob was employed as a Civil Engineer with the MDC in Hartford.
Bob is survived by sons, Michael Kerkes and his wife Cathy of East Haddam, James Kerkes, Robert Kerkes and his partner Davyeen both of Middletown, four grandchildren, Haylie Jo, Matthew and Michael Kerkes, Katie Hines, two brothers, Raymond Kerkes of Killingworth, David Kerkes of Texas, and a sister, Ann Marie Kerkes of Windsor.
Funeral Services and burial at Calvary Cemetery were privately held.
