Obituary: Roland D. Lamothe, 64, of Middletown

Roland had worked in the banking industry all of his life. He loved to cook, especially pizza, enjoyed making wine and gardening.

Roland D. Lamothe, 64, of Middletown, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at the Apple Rehab, Middletown with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Camille Sorvillo Lamothe.

Roland was born in Fitchburg, Massachusetts on December 24, 1953 and was the son of the late Albert and Lucille Dufresne Lamothe. He obtained a bachelor’s degree from Nichols College of Dudley, Massachusetts.

Roland had worked in the banking industry all of his life having worked for the former First Union Bank and the former Sovereign Bank (now Santander Bank) where he worked for many years. He loved to cook especially pizza, enjoyed making wine and gardening. Father of Sean R. and Alan M. Lamothe. Brother of Carol Lamothe Bachand (Normand). Brother-in-law of Dr. Frank Sorvillo (Jeanne). Uncle of Marc Bachand (Bobby Jo), Laura Miller (Jon), Teresa and Bryan Sorvillo. Great uncle of Sarah and Lauren Bachand, Kayla and Austin Miller.
