Obituary: Sarah Errico, 87, of Middletown

Sarah was employed at Goodyear Rubber and later as a machinist at Hartford Precision.

Sarah J. (Tomassi) Errico, 87, of Middletown, wife of the late William E. Errico, Sr., died Saturday October 8, 2016 at Wadsworth Glen Health Care.

She was born in Middletown, the daughter of the late Vincent “James” and Concettina (Licitra) Tomassi. Sarah was employed at Goodyear Rubber and later as a machinist at Hartford Precision. She was a member of the K Club, Polish Falcons and Moose Club.

She is survived by his daughters, Mary Harris and her husband John of Irasburg, VT, Patricia Kalinowski and her husband Henry of Portland, and Linda McCarter and her husband Kevin of Durham; a sister, Mary DeMonte of Middletown; a brother, Charles Tomassi of Berlin; eleven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; her daughter-in-law, Sharon Errico of East Hampton; also several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, William E. Errico, Jr.; three brothers, Peter and Corrado Tomassi and Joseph Scata; and two sisters, Nancy Pessina and Virginia Daniels.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday (Oct 12th) at 11 a.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at Biega Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. Those who wish may send memorial contributions to American Cancer Society, 825 Brook St., I-91 Tech Ctr., Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
