MIDDLETOWN, CT — (From Wallingford Funeral Home): Sarah Marie (Adamowicz) Vensel, 25, of Middletown, formerly of Meriden, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, July 22, 2021, at the CT Children’s Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the loving wife of Christian James Vensel.
Sarah was born in Meriden, December 12, 1995, daughter of Mark J. Adamowicz of Farmington and the late Betty (Walters) Adamowicz. She was a graduate of St. Joseph University where she studied Nursing. As a Registered Nurse, she cared for patients in the Cardiac Unit and most recently in the Cardiac ICU of Hartford Hospital.
Sarah was a lover of life who had an infectious smile. She loved taking rides down to the shore on the back of Christian’s Harley and sunny days at the beach. She loved Fleetwood Mac, Jaclyn Hill cosmetics, and was an avid Harry Potter fan; a proud Hufflepuff. She was a proud rescue mom to their dog Jax, who she adored. Above all else, Sarah loved spending time with her friends and family.
In addition to her husband and father, she is survived by her sister, Stephanie Lyn Adamowicz of Meriden; her aunts, Donna Aresco of Meriden and Beverly Pentzak of Statesville, NC, her uncles; John Adamowicz of Meriden and Richard Adamowicz of Meriden; as well as her second family, Vicky, Carl, Michael, and Katie.
