Obituary: William A. MacLean, 73, of Middletown

Bill was previously employed with Pratt & Whitney Aircraft, Colt Firearms and retired as a manufacturing engineer from Hartford Compressors.

William A. MacLean, 73, of Middletown, beloved husband of Lynne (Barcome) MacLean, died Friday August 26, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on September 16, 1942, Athol, MA, the son of the late William H. and Phyllis (Powell) MacLean. Bill was previously employed with Pratt & Whitney Aircraft, Colt Firearms and retired as a manufacturing engineer from Hartford Compressors. He was an avid NASCAR and Patriots fan.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, William W. MacLean and his wife Lori of Southington; two daughters, Lori Linares and her husband Ronald of Middletown, Kristen Normandin and her husband Matthew of Middletown; six grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Kyle MacLean, Marc and Lauren Linares, Lily and Logan Normandin; and his two dogs, Finley and Zoe.

His family was his world.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday (Aug. 31st) at 11 a.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown. Burial will be in Middlefield Cemetery, Middlefield.
