Overnight Fire Extinguished In Middletown

Crews responded late Monday night to a reported fire at a three-family home, according to fire officials.

MIDDLETOWN, CT — No injuries were reported after an overnight fire was extinguished in Middletown, according to fire officials.

Crews responded around 11 p.m. Monday to a reported structure fire on the rear porches of a three-family home on South Main Street, according to a post on the City of Middletown Professional Firefighters Local 1073 union’s Facebook page.

“First due company found a fire located on the second floor rear porch,” officials wrote in the post. “All companies on scene worked diligently and cohesively to prevent the fire from extending into the residence. The fire was quickly extinguished and is under investigation by the Fire Marshals Office. There are no reported injuries of residents or firefighters.”
