Pedestrian Killed In Cromwell Route 372 Accident: Reports
A person died after being hit by a vehicle in Cromwell on Thursday night. It was the second fatal crash on the road in recent months.
CROMWELL, CT — A pedestrian was hit and killed on Route 372 in Cromwell on Thursday, according to WTNH News-8.
Police responded to a crash at 8:28 p.m. in the area of 90 Berlin Road near I-91. The spot is close by to a Lowe's and a Quality Inn.
The person, who has not been identified, was declared dead at the scene of the accident, NBC CT reported. The driver was transported to an area hospital for treatment of injuries.

Other area police departments also responded, including those from Rocky Hill and Berlin.
Part of Route 372 at Industrial Park Road was closed following the crash but has since reopened, WTNH News-8 reported.

This was the second fatal accident on this stretch of road. A motorcyclist died following an Oct. 12, 2023 crash.
