Peek Inside New Business Leases Downtown

Middletown business real estate agent Trevor Davis gives Patch the scoop.

Curious about new businesses or those expanding downtown? Trevor Davis tells Middletown Patch that these large and small office spaces have been recently leased in our fair city:

  • Schaffer Associates LLC leased 2,000 square feet at 320 Main Street to Walter and Thomas Wang, in the large, central block of downtown. ANOHO, A Noodle House serves decorative Asian cuisine.
  • Jem Wire Products Inc. leased 31,800 square feet at 2303 So. Main Street to Alpine Environmental Services LLC. This large industrial building is located on Route 17 near the Durham and Middlefield borders. Jem Wire has closed their operations. Alpine Environmental Services moved their operation from Wallingford. 
  • Leased office and worship space from First United Methodist Church at 24 Old Church St. to Shiloh Christian Church. The two congregations have their own separate spaces at the Methodist Church on the South Green, while Shiloh builds their new church at 693 Saybrook Road. The two congregations have already held a joint service celebrating their common beliefs.
  • Leased 2,229 square feet to TEC Inc. in 100 Plaza Middlesex. This brownstone façade is also known as 179 Main St. The tenant, also known as The Environmental Company, is from Charlottesville, Va.
  • At 438 Main Street and Washington Street (Route 66) to Attorney Richard Croce, MODAR, the Guardian, Photography by Jennifer Lynn, Cosys Systems, LLC, Newtech Installation USA, Daniel G. Diaz Del Valle and Vector Marketing. 438 Main Street is a mixed-use building and includes two floors of office space above the two retail floors.
  • At Middletown Business Park: Autopart International leased 9,490 square feet; Apex Lighting Solutions leased 6362 sf; MobileXUSA leased 4,786 square feet; ZMIKE, Division of Beta Lazer Mike leased 3,921 square feet; A & A Office Systems leased 3,793 square feet; Long Island Opthalmic Services, Inc. leased 1,752 square feet; System Specialties leased 1,917 square feet; FIA Inc. leased 1,114 square feet; Contemporary Services leased 886 square feet; UBTS leased 583 square feet; A&B Healthcare leased 411 square feet.
  • Leased 1,118 square feet of office space to Charles Computer Service at 98 Washington St., above the restaurant Luce. Foster Charles has grown his computer sales and service firm over the past five years enough to require additional space for his growing staff. The landlord, RAMO, LLC, owns the corner parking lot and the mixed use building that includes office space, apartments and Luce.
  • Leased 5,675 square feet to Publishers Circulation Fulfillment, Inc. at 440 Middlefield St. PCF distributes newspapers for the Middletown Press, Hartford Courant, New York Times and other newspapers. The landlord, Middletown Revival, LLC, has rehabilitated the four-building complex that contains Baldwin Pergolas and Furniture and other tenants.
