With Phase 2 Set For The Spring, Large Middletown Development Gets Major Industry Distinction

A 486-unit luxury apartment development is in full swing in Middletown.

MIDDLETOWN, CT — With the second phase of a large residential development in Middletown set to begin in about two months, the project has received a major industry distinction.

Officials for Springside Middletown said the complex was selected from among its peer communities to receive the 2025 Home Building Industry Award from the Home Builders & Remodelers
Association of Connecticut for Best Rental Community 3 Stories or More.

The HOBI Awards program, now in its 31st, year is Connecticut’s premier recognition event for innovation and industry distinction in residential construction, they said.

Springside earned the HOBI for excellence in design, construction and marketing.

"Receiving this recognition from fellow professionals in the building industry is especially rewarding. Our peers truly understand the dedication, teamwork and high standards required to achieve the quality of Springside," said Bob Dale, the founder of Dale Development LLC and managing parter of the PB Ventures development team which includes Jeffrey Albert and Jake O’Donnell. "This peer-to- peer acknowledgment reaffirms the efforts of so many, including our architectural and engineering design teams, our general contractor, L2i Construction, the many subcontractor trades and all involved in the marketing and management of the Community."

Phase I of Springside Middletown consists of 240 apartments and recently surpassed the 85 percent leased mark.

Dale said the development team intends to break ground on Phase II, which includes 246 additional
apartments, in April of this year.

In all, Springside Middletown is a 486-unit luxury apartment "home community" planned being built on a 48-acre site located at 494 Newfield St. (state Route 3) in Middletown. The community is being developed by Newfield Residential Partners LLC, a joint venture of PB Ventures and Harbor
Group International.
