Pickup Slams Into Tanker Truck In Middletown
It was a close call in Middletown Tuesday when a tanker was hit on a highway ramp in Middletown.
MIDDLETOWN, CT ā Westfield Fire Department crews breathed a sign of relief Tuesday when a pickup crashed into the back of a tanker truck.
"Fortunately the tanker truck was empty," fire officials said.
Nevertheless, the scene was involved.

The crash took place on an Interstate 91 Exit 20 off-ramp.
Crews used heavy rescue tools to extricate the driver of the pickup. He was quickly removed and transported to an area trauma center with undisclosed injuries, according to fire officials.

The exit ramp was closed during the cleanup.
