Play Ball! Little Leaguers and Softball Players Suit Up for Opening Day
Hundreds of players filled Middletown's Hubbard Park and the Snow School fields to kick off the start of the season.
Boys, boys and more boys, hundreds of them suited up in their brand-new uniforms, newly minted team members of the Dodgers, Angels, Mariners, White Sox and dozens of others converged on Hubbard Park's Baroni and Romegialli fields Saturday for opening day of Middletown Little League.
After opening ceremonies, teams queued up for their one-inning exhibition game, followed by a home run derby, pitch, hit and run contests, team relays, concessions, team pictures and more.
Patch stopped by to catch a bit of the action.
