Police: Man Assaults Woman in Middletown, 11-Year-Old Tried to Stop It
A man is facing assault and other charges for the incident, police said.
A New Britain man was arrested in Middletown after he allegedly assaulted a woman in the presence of a child on April 29.
Luis Rodriguez, 32, allegedly got into a fight with the woman over her use of a cell phone and he punched her in the face and forehead multiple times, according to the Middletown Press.
An 11-year-old present tried to stop the assault.

Rodriguez was charged with risk of injury to a child, third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.
