Officers used a taser to subdue a man who became resistant toward officers at headquarters after he allegedly violate a protective order.
Police went to a Spring Street address on April 14 on a loud noise complaint. A woman there said her boyfriend Eugene Trudeau, 52, of Middletown was drunk and yelling, police said. She also said there was an active protective order.

An officer deployed the taser on his right knee for one second. Trudeau said it hurt, but still didn’t comply.
Officers then dragged him to the processing area, removed his shoes, belt and sweater while he laid on the floor. He then stood up and walked to a holding cell.
He was charged with failure to submit to fingerprinting, interfering with police and violating a protective order.
