Police: Middletown Man Crashes Into Special Needs School Bus, Flees Scene
Police arrested the man who allegedly left the scene of an accident.

A Middletown man was arrested after he allegedly crashed into a school bus that was carrying special needs children and fled the scene.
Police were summoned to Saybrook Road on April 10 for an accident involving a Dattco school bus carrying two adults and three children and an evading gray Toyota, police said.
The bus driver said the Toyota operator collided with the rear of the bus and said he was going to pull into a driveway and wait for police. Instead he bolted from the scene.

Police went to the house of Michael Warley, 51, of Middletown and tracked down his cell phone number and the address of his girlfriend. Police then went to his girlfriend’s house and saw the Toyota outside.
He claimed that the bus driver waved his hands at him and thought that meant it was ok to leave the scene, police said.

He was arrested and charged with traveling too fast for conditions, evading responsibility and failure to carry minimum insurance.
