Rapper Machine Gun Kelly's Rooftop Flip At Middletown After-Party Backfires Into A Flop, Video Shows

MIDDLETOWN, CT — A performance of "Fix Your Face" turned into an episode of "my aching back" for rapper Machine Gun Kelly last week in Middletown, a video shows .

A video shows that rapper Machine Gun Kelly hurt his back after revelers failed to catch him during an after-party stunt in Middletown last week.

Kelly staged an after-party at the Mezzo Grille following a show in Hartford.

The video shows the 36-year-old Kelly on an overhang, mic in hand, while performing "Fix Your Face." He is then seen somersaulting off the awning and the crowd dropping him.

Someone in the crowd can be heard in half-slurred speech yelling, "Where's bro's head?" as Kelly is being pulled up by his legs.

A DJ can then be heard saying, "Pick that (expletive) up ... bring him to the front."

Kelly was clearly dazed following the mishap in the video. Middletown emergency officials could not be immediately reached to determine if there was a medical call to the scene.

The incident was shown on his MGKmagic YouTube channel.

On social media, Kelly announced to his fans that he intends to power through his Lost Americana Tour, refusing to cancel his upcoming shows.

In an Instagram post that has since been deleted, Kelly wrote, "I messed my back up really, really bad," as reported by rock music publication Loudwire.

"I'm having trouble even just standing or picking things up," Kelly wrote as reported by Loudwire. "I can't even stand up without using my arms and my upper body strength to help support my back."

He went on to write "it hurts to breathe." (Read more at Loudwire).
