Three people face prostitution-related charges after a man called police reporting that he had been robbed of $150.

MIDDLETOWN, CT — Three people were arrested after police say a reported robbery turned out to be a dispute over a prostitution transaction on Wednesday night.
Jenessa Cyr, 19, of Vernon, Shakim White, 28, of Hartford, and Jayakamar Charles, 34, of Middletown, were all arrested on prostitution-related charges after police responded to the 400 block of Bartholomew Road at about 7:15 p.m. on Jan. 11 on the report of a robbery.
The complainant, Charles, told police that he had gotten into a verbal argument that turned physical and he was assaulted by a woman and that $150 was removed from his wallet, according to the police report.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as White and Cyr was the passenger.
Police said details emerged of Cyr meeting and engaging in prostitution through an online website. Cyr was searched on the scene and was found to be in the possession of $150, which was concealed in her bra, along with drug paraphernalia, which was in her purse, according to police.
During the investigation, police said Charles continuously changed his accounts of events that took place in an “attempt to prevent charges against himself in fear of not receiving his citizenship.”
Charles, of Bartholomew Road in Middletown, was arrested on charges of patronizing a prostitute, disorderly conduct and interfering with an officer. He was released on a $10,000 bond and is due in court on Jan. 26, according to state judicial records.
Cyr, of Main Street in Vernon, was charged with prostitution, sixth-degree larceny and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was held on a $2,500 bond and was issued a court date of Feb. 9.
White, of Ashley Street in Hartford, was charged with patronizing a prostitute and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. He is being held on a $1,500 bond and was issued a court date of Jan. 24.
