Road Closures Announced For Hartford Marathon In Middletown
Police are advising residents of several road closures that will be in effect for an upcoming road race in Middletown.
MIDDLETOWN, CT — Police are advising residents of several road closures that will be in effect for an upcoming road race in Middletown.
Middletown will host the Hartford Marathon Middletown 10K & 5K road race on Sunday, April 10.
Roads that will be affected between 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. include: Old Church Street, Main Street one southbound travel lane, Williams Street, High Street, Washington Terrace, Vine Street, Long Lane Street, Wadsworth Street, Pine Street, and Church Street west of High Street.

“Many side streets will be barricaded and officers or volunteers will be at fixed posts on the route,” police wrote in a news release. “When possible, police will direct cross-traffic to accommodate motorists. Roads will reopen as runners pass. Please expect delays and detours.”
