Road Closures Announced For PrideFEST Parade In Middletown

Police have announced several road closures that will be in effect for the event, which includes entertainers, food, activities, and more.

MIDDLETOWN, CT — Police have announced several road closures that will be in effect for the 4th Annual Middletown PrideFEST that will be held Saturday, June 4.

The event will take place from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. in downtown Middletown.

“PrideFEST is an all afternoon street fair on Main Street, Middletown that combines exhibitors, entertainers, food, activities for all ages, including a 21+ area, and will feature our Pride March, Pride Rally, and Pride Showcase Concert,” reads a post on its website. “Music and sound for PrideFEST is provided by DJ Lady Tita and Ambassador Entertainment!”

Pleasant Street and Union Street will be closed at 9 a.m. on June 4 for vendor setup.

At 1 p.m., Washington Street (RT 66) from High Street to deKoven Drive along with Main Street from Hartford Ave (Arrigoni Bridge) to Main St Extention (RT 17 connector) will be closed.

At 2 p.m., the parade steps off from Spring Street and onto Main Street. Main Street and Washington Street will remain closed until the last participant passes Washington Street. At that time, Washington Street and the northern part of Main Street will be re-opened.

After the parade, Main Street will remain closed at William Street and MLK Way, Pleasant Street at South Main Street, Union Street at deKoven Drive, and Main Street Extension at the RT 17 connector until 10:30 p.m. for the event on the South Green.
