Robbery In McDonald’s Parking Lot Investigated: Middletown Police
A person was robbed in the McDonald's parking lot while meeting to conduct an online transaction, according to police.

MIDDLETOWN, CT — Police are investigating after a person was robbed in the McDonald’s parking lot Saturday while meeting to conduct an online transaction.
Police responded to the McDonald’s parking lot at 611 South Main Street in Middletown around 4 p.m. on Aug. 20 on the report of an armed robbery.
“Upon arrival officers were able to confirm two parties were meeting to buy item(s) that were listed for sale online,” police wrote in a post on Facebook. “The suspect pointed what is believed to be a firearm at the victim and demanded the item(s). The victim complied and was uninjured during the confrontation.”

The suspect was described as a heavyset man who was wearing a gray hoodie and dark shorts. The suspect left the scene in what police said appears to be light-colored Nissan sedan bearing a Massachusetts registration plate.
