We will closely examine Middletown’s evolving proposals for exits and entrances to Route 9 that will be required after the traffic signals are removed. Rowers Needed

We are looking for volunteers to row our 12-foot Jon boat during water chestnut removal work parties in the Floating Meadows (Mattabesset & Coginchaug Rivers) this summer. The plan is: the boat will receive bags of water chestnut filled by kayakers, allowing the kayakers to fill another bag. This will greatly increase the productivity of our work parties. If you are interested in doing this once or twice (or more times) this summer, reply to this email with the word “Rower” and you will be contacted.###strongRussell Library invites you to its Earth Week program on Monday, April 17, 6-8 p.m. General conversation and questions will follow short presentations by Kim O"Rourke, City of Middletown Recycling Coordinator; Yasmin Ugurlu, owner of Reboot Eco; Rhea Drozdenko, Connecticut River Conservancy’s River Steward; John Hall; and Marcella Trowbridge, of ArtFarm and a Community Ritual Keeper.
