

2015 Run for the Fallen CT,
6:00am - 3:30pm.
Runners, visitors, spectators and volunteers are welcome! This event is free and open to the public (rain or shine). Those interested in walking will have access to a grass walking track lined with biographies of Connecticut’s fallen service members. An area with children’s activities and a cookout lunch (free with donation) will also be available throughout the day. Many Gold Star families attend this event to honor their loved ones. Gather your friends and family and join us to sustain our mission of recognizing and remembering the fallen.
Overview: Run for the Fallen CT serves as a memorial for all servicemen and women who lost their lives serving our country during Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom and other post-9/11 conflicts; specifically the sixty-five fallen service members from Connecticut. This event is also a tribute to ALL United States service men and women who have given their lives throughout history in all conflicts.

The annual running event and gathering takes place in Middletown, CT and honors our military heroes who have made the ultimate sacrifice. It is an all-day event designed around a 65km run that dedicates one kilometer to each of the fallen 65 men and women from CT. The run is divided into 8 laps beginning and ending at Snow Elementary School (299 Wadsworth St. Middletown, CT). There is a large memorial ceremony in the afternoon upon completion of the final lap. The ceremony includes guest speakers, Honor and Remember flag presentations, and a flag planting ceremony where the names of each of the fallen are read.
