"Saints & Patriots" Outdoor Celebration in Middletown on July 25
A patriotic celebration of America 250 and Connecticut's Rich Christian Heritage

WIHS 104.9 FM will host "Saints & Patriots," a patriotic outdoor celebration of America 250 and Connecticut's Rich Christian Heritage, on Saturday, July 25 from 5-7 pm at the WIHS Amphitheater, 1933 South Main Street (Route 17). The rain date is Sunday, July 26. Admission is free and open to the public. Dress is casual. Guests are encouraged to bring folding chairs, blankets and snacks.
Saints & Patriots will be emceed by well-known Connecticut on-air radio personality Allison Demers, with opening prayer by WIHS General Manager Matt Harper. Jerilyn Boudreau, a gifted singer from Windsor Locks, will sing the Star-Spangled Banner, followed by patriotic music by the Mystic River Brass Ensemble (Salvation Army) from Mystic; an encouraging message on Connecticut's Christian heritage by Tom and Debbie Berrill from the Institute of Connecticut History in Bristol; inspirational immigrant testimonies by Rev. Abraham Chan and Stella Tse with the Golden Lampstand Association in South Windsor; celebratory praise and worship music by the McGrail Band from Central Massachusetts; a Gospel message and invitation by WIHS Board President Drew Crandall from Ellington; more music by the Mystic River Brass Ensemble; enthusiastic singing of God Bless America led by Jerilyn Boudreau and closing prayer by WIHS Morning Cheer host Gerry Williams from New Britain.
This is the second year that WIHS (We're In His Service) has hosted an outdoor concert on its 7.5-acre field, which the station is naming the WIHS Amphitheater. WIHS is a commercial-free, listener-supported media ministry operated by Connecticut Radio Fellowship, a 501c3 non-profit organization.
