Update: 6 Greenwich Students Suffer Minor Injuries in Bus Crash on I-91 in Middletown
The students were returning from a field trip.

A school bus traveling on Interstate 91 southbound in Middletown was involved in a crash, NBC Connecticut reports.
The bus was carrying 37 fourth-graders from Greenwich who were returning from a field trip with six chaperones, the news channel reports. About six students suffered bumps and bruises.
Their injuries are described a “very minor”.

The students from North Mianus School in Greenwich were transported to Middlesex Hospital, Greenwich Time reports. Students will be transported back to Greenwich once they are released from the hospital.
Parents may also choose to drive to the hospital to bring their child home.

According to the Statewide DOT, “I-91 Southbound is congested between Exits 23 and 20 (4.1 miles) because of a Motor Vehicle Accident (Bus) between Exits 21 and 20 (1.4 miles). The right lane is closed.”
According to NBC, the bus collided with a car Tuesday afternoon.
