SERC Library Announces Reopening In New Space In Middletown
The library temporarily closed and officials announce a new temporary home while a more permanent location is determined.

MIDDLETOWN, CT — The State Education Resource Center (SERC) will reopen its library on Wednesday, July 5 at its new, temporary space on the first floor of 100 Roscommon Drive, located off Industrial Park Road in Middletown, officials announced on Friday. This location, which houses SERC’s offices and is down the street from the previous location, will serve as a temporary home for the library while a more permanent location is determined over the next six months.
The library closed temporarily and relocated due to fiscal and space constraints, reducing the availability of some resources with the exception of testing materials, officials said. The public is free to call ahead at 860-632-1485 x4 with questions about a particular resource. (Note: Professional books are temporarily unavailable.) Summer hours will be in effect: Tuesdays through Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Saturday and extended evening hours will resume in September.) Visitor and accessible parking spaces are available; visitors will find these as posted near the main entrance to the building.
