Six Outstanding City Scholar-Athletes Honored

Annually, the CAS-cIAC recognizes two high school seniors whose academic and athletic careers have been exemplary, whose personal standards and achievements are a model to others, and who possess high levels of integrity, self-discipline and courage.

The Connecticut Association of Schools-Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference Scholar-Athlete Program annually recognizes two high school seniors — one boy and one girl — from each member high school whose academic and athletic careers have been exemplary, whose personal standards and achievements are a model to others, and who possess high levels of integrity, self-discipline and courage.

Since its inception, the annual Connecticut High School Scholar-Athlete Awards Program and Banquet has honored more than 4,000 outstanding graduating seniors in Connecticut high schools.

The banquet at the Aqua Turf in Plainville was sponsored by McDonald's, a 29-year supporter.
