MIDDLETOWN, CT — Sweet Harmony Cafe & Bakery will close its doors permanently Sept. 27, according to a notice posted at the bakery.

The bakery, located at 330 Main St., has been a destination for baked goods and other offerings in downtown Middletown.

Customers looking for some of Sweet Harmony's offerings will not have to go far. Flour & Fern Bakery & Cafe is planned to open at 170 Main St., next to M Town Wings.

The new bakery will be operated by Sarah, Sweet Harmony's co-owner, according to social media announcements.

Flour & Fern is expected to offer all-day brunch, cakes and other baked goods and treats that customers previously found at Sweet Harmony.
