'Terrified' Dog Found Abandoned At College Bus Stop In Middletown

MIDDLETOWN, CT — Middletown Animal Control officials are trying to pice together just how a dog was abandoned at a college bus stop.

The husky was found tied to up at the bus stop at CT State College Middlesex, animal control officials said. The believe it happened sometime on Saturday.

"We do not know how long the dog had been there before two young girls were out for a run and found him," animal control officials said. "They ran home and told their parents. The water dish was not left by the individual who decided it was okay to tie their dog to a bus stop and leave."

The family that found the dog brought the dog water until authorities arrived.

The dog was tied with a camouflage leash and was wearing a matching camouflage collar with no tags and no microchip, according to animal control officials.

"This dog is terrified," they said. "We are reviewing camera footage from the area. If anyone knows who the owner of this dog is, please call animal control at 860-638-4030."
