It’s becoming increasingly difficult to reach the elusive work/life balance. More people in the workforce are also the primary caretaker of a child or elderly parent. Pulled in every direction, these caretaker entrepreneurs need support and now they have a unique opportunity to get it.
“The caretaker entrepreneur is the new face of business,” said Eric Lopkin, president of The Modern Observer Group. “They are taking care of children, elderly parents, or possibly both. At the same time they are either running a business or have a job where they are responsible for generating income. This is a tough balance.”
Caretaker Entrepreneur coaching provides help developing the skills they have, teaches new skills, and provides a support system. Combining The Modern Observer Group’s life coaching and business coaching, Caretaker Entrepreneur coaching helps people focus on getting everything they need to accomplish done while making sure they don’t ignore their own well-being. The program helps to create manageable action plans, communicate effectively, keep a positive mindset, and improve their overall quality of life.
“I remember when I started consulting,” said Lopkin. “There were certain clients that knew I would show up at their offices with a computer bag over one arm, a diaper bag over the other, and my son in a stroller. I was lucky enough to have understanding clients, but it was very difficult to juggle everything.”
The Caretaker Entrepreneur program is a group program where participants call into weekly conference calls. They can choose from day, evening, and weekend calls to make it easy to fit into their schedule and have the opportunity to share what they are dealing with with both a professional coach and fellow caretakers. The program is flexible to meet their needs and provides information, motivation, assistance and support. The Caretaker Entrepreneur program costs $99/month.
