U.S. Senator Chris Murphy Highlights Middletown Manufacturer

The company has been recognized as "Murphy's Monday Manufacturer."

MIDDLETOWN, CT — U.S. Senator Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) announced that EB Manufacturing of Middletown is this week’s “Murphy’s Monday Manufacturer.”

In 1977, Connecticut resident Ed Billings founded EB Manufacturing with just three machines in a 1,700 square-foot basement workspace. Over the years, EB Manufacturing grew steadily and expanded the size of their facility various times.

Today, EB Manufacturing operates out of a 15,000 square-foot facility on Middle Street in Middletown. The company uses 3D design to manufacture machine tool accessories such as trunnion fixtures, collet chucks and mandrels, custom chuck saws, clamping systems, and other custom products.

“Connecticut manufacturers like Pratt & Whitney know that their products are only as good as the parts they use to make them. Our state is lucky we’re home to so many suppliers like EB Manufacturing who deliver innovative, reliable products,” Murphy said in a statement. “As a member of the Appropriations Committee, I’ll continue fighting to create new opportunities for the men and women who work hard for a living at the more than 4,000 manufacturing companies across our state.”
