Vehicle Struck By Bullets From Other Vehicle: Middletown Police
The driver told police they heard about five gunshots coming from the vehicle that was behind them, according to officials.
MIDDLETOWN, CT — Police are investigating after a vehicle was struck by bullets that were fired by the occupants of another vehicle late Saturday morning in Middletown.
Police responded to the 400 block of Westfield Street around 11:55 a.m. on March 25 on the report of suspicious activity. The caller reported that a silver Nissan Altima pulled into their driveway and two people got out of the vehicle and said that someone had shot at them, according to police.
The vehicle occupants remained at the scene and weren’t injured, according to police.

Police said responding officers found multiple bullet holes in the back of the Nissan and an undisclosed number of shell casings on Westfield Street.
The driver told police that he was traveling east on Westfield Street when he heard approximately five gunshots from the vehicle behind him. Bullets hit the Nissan and the driver pulled into a driveway on Westfield Street, according to police.

The suspect vehicle left the area at a high rate of speed, and the victim could only describe it as a dark-colored SUV, police said.
Police do not have any descriptions of the suspects at the time.
“This is an active investigation but it is believed that the parties knew one another,” police wrote in a news release. “This does not appear to be a random act of violence so we have no specific public safety concerns.”
Police said they are not releasing the names of the vehicle’s occupants at this time.
