MIDDLETOWN, CT — A Middletown woman was arrested after she assaulted a victim who had an active protective order, according to police.

Officers responded to an address Dec. 31 and learned that Michelle Marquez, 38, showed up unannounced and picked up a child after refusing to leave. She then assaulted the female victim by pulling out a chunk of hair and scratching her, police said.

Eventually the victim got Marquez out of the residence. The next day police were dispatched to the same address on a report of Marquez peering through the windows. She was found at the scene and taken into custody, police said.
