Vinal Tech High School Students of the Month for November 2017

Vinal Technical High School is proud to recognize four stellar students for the November 2017 Student of the Month award! Though there were several students who fulfilled the criteria for the award this month, these particular students have proven their scholastic excellence and strength of character that made them rise above the rest. All students chosen for the Student of the Month award receive public recognition in school and a special catered breakfast.

Grade 9: Calvin Sanchez

Cal is a hardworking student and friendly, helpful person. He always makes sure to complete his homework and classwork on time or ahead of time and never hesitates to help his fellow classmates. Cal also sets forth a great example for his classmates in the way that he is always friendly and supportive of everyone, whether it's passing time in the hallways, waiting around for the bus, or working in class. Cal represents the ideals of Vinal Tech very well and has set himself up excellently for success!

Grade 10: Nick Cruz

Nick consistently goes above and beyond to help others in shop with their computer problems. Rather than just working on his own shop work and worrying about himself, Nick continues to set up and improve workstations for the freshmen. Nick is invested in his shop and works to make the overall area better. He has a work ethic to be admired by all, and is a great asset to not only his shop, but the school
overall. By working as a team and taking pride in his shop area, Nick personifies the Vinal Tech mission and goals!

Grade 11: Chris DePino

Chris is a very bright student with a sharp mind. His constant curiosity and eagerness to discover is inspiring to the whole class. His ideas and insights spark full class discussions and lead everyone in the class to deeper understanding of whichever topic is being covered. It is always a joy to speak with Chris as he challenges you to look at concepts in a very unique ways. Chris has had an impressive three years so far at Vinal, and we all look forward to what discoveries and observations the rest of his time here with us will bring!

Grade 12: Tyler Spada

Tyler is a student who always works hard in class to learn new concepts. His perseverance is commendable and infectious to the rest of the class and shop. By pushing himself forward in all ways, Tyler sets a high bar for all those around him. Beyond the academics, Tyler is polite and helpful to all. Even though he works to achieve high standards, he doesn't let that stop him from assisting classmates and going the extra mile for his friends. Tyler easily reflects the goals and standards of Vinal, and we look forward to the amazing things he will accomplish in the future!

Again, Vinal is very proud of the four Students of the Month for November and of all students who were nominated. We encourage all students to keep up the good work, and we can't wait to see what our outstanding students achieve next month!
