Vinal Techical High School Students of the Month for October 2017
Vinal Tech has restarted the Students of the Month club and will celebrate its recipients publicly every month!
Vinal Technical High School is proud to announce the reinstatement of the Student of the Month program! The student of the month is a student who represents not only academic excellence, but also strength of character and a strong representation of the core values of Vinal Tech. These traits include such things as respect for themselves and others, professional behavior and focus, and helping to build a positive and caring school community. Every month these select students will be recognized publicly for their efforts and receive other honors in school as well. The winners of Student of the Month for October 2017 are as follows.

9th Grade: Alexis Betzner
Alexis is a model student who has started the year off very strong. She gives every assignment her full effort and focus, trying her hardest until she succeeds in any given assignment. Beyond school work, she is courteous, resourceful, engaged, and motivated in every activity she takes part in. Although Alexis is only a freshman, she is absolutely going to excel here at Vinal, and has set the bar high for future 9th grade students of the month!

11th Grade: Ian Mannings
Ian has outstanding work ethic in shop and helps his instructor with anything that is asked of him. He takes the reins for any project that comes his way and is constantly seeking new experiences and ways to improve his professional trade and skill. Ian is also a leader in class and helps other students when they need assistance, further establishing a culture of shared learning and community.
12th Grade: Jalen Engram
Jalen is a very strong student, staying focused and successful in both academics and shop. Beyond this, Jalen
recently stood up for another student in an impressive way. Instead of being a bystander, which he could have easily done, Jalen stepped in when one student was making mean remarks to another. This was an unprompted response that is an impressive example of what all students in Vinal should strive to do to promote a positive school community.
