Volunteer Opportunity: Help Build Middletown’s Next Nature Trail!

We have a breakthrough opportunity on our landfill trail project, thanks to Middletown’s Land Use Department that is partnering with us. We need to gather a team to cut down weeds on top of the landfill so we can lay out the location for a wildlife viewing platform and a loop trail.

This park-like destination will be located to the left of the yellow star on the photo above. The star itself is the location of the recently-installed solar array (not shown in this photo). On Thursday, July 17, 9-11 a.m., we’ll be joined by some city staff (which is why this is a mid-week event.) We need people who can bring weed-whackers, scythes, machetes, or any other powered or unpowered hand tools to do some work and demonstrate public support for this great project.
