Wesleyan Revokes Fraternity Psi Upsilon's Housing on Campus

Allegations of illegal drug use and lawsuits alleging sexual assault factored into the university's decision.

Alleged sexual assaults and drug deals involving groups of people are a cause of concern for the university.

ā€œIn addition to violating Wesleyan’s policies prohibiting illegal drugs, these allegations represent important health and safety concerns for the campus,ā€ Wesleyan President Michael Roth and Vice President for Student Affairs Michael Whaley said in a Monday, August 3, statement.

Fraternity members will still be allowed to participate in Greek life events but can’t live in the fraternity house or be in proximity to the house.
