If approved, her record would be clean of larceny, criminal mischief and interference with a cemetery, charges.

A woman arrested after caught on camera allegedly stealing an angel statute from a gravesite at Calvary Cemetery in Middletown is hoping her record will not reflect the arrest charges, NBC Connecticut reports.

Jacqueline Baugher turned the statue into police after friends saw news reports with video footage and suggested she confess.

The statue was placed on the gravesite of Brandon Reeve, a graduate of Middletown High School who died in a 2004 motorcycle accident.
