Woman Dies After Struck by Box Truck in Middletown
Evelyn Rivera was struck by the truck as she was attempting to cross South Main Street on June 30, police said.
On Monday, June 30, Middletown Police responded to a report of a box truck that struck a pedestrian near 708 South Main Street.
The truck was reportedly in the northbound lane, heading south, when it struck a 54-year-old woman, identified as Evelyn Rivera.
NBC CT reported Rivera died on Tuesday, July 1.

“The female sustained serious injuries and was transported to Hartford Hospital via Life Star,” police said in an earlier press release.
Anyone who may have witnessed the accident is urged to contact the Middletown Police Department Traffic Unit at 860-638-4060.
