MIDDLETOWN, CT — An angry customer was arrested after police say she threw a burger at a cashier at Wendy’s in Middletown. Police responded to the restaurant, located at 950 Washington Street, at about 12:15 p.m. on June 1 on the report of a disturbance involving a customer.

Wendy’s management told police that a customer, later identified as 50-year-old Holly Bartolotta, was upset about a burger and began to yell and swear. Bartolotta then threw the burger at a cashier and also hit another customer during the incident, according to police.

Later at police headquarters, Bartolotta said she was upset about them getting her order wrong and more upset about how they handled trying to correct their mistake, according to the police report. She also said she was “emotional because she was having to put her dog down,” according to police.
