Xavier Claims Sixth SCC Wrestling Title

NEW HAVEN, CT — Xavier claimed its sixth SCC wrestling title in the conference championships Saturday, Feb. 11, at Wilbur Cross in New Haven. The Falcons also won in 2015, 2014, 2012, 2011 and 2003.

Xavier finished with 199.5 points, while Guilford was second at 123 points and defending champion Foran finished third at 95. Daniel Hand (93) and Shelton (92) rounded out the top five.

The Falcons claimed four individual titles with Ronan Marino (106 pounds), Patrick Moynihan (132 pounds), Grant Barber (138 pounds) and Ryan Devivo (160 pounds) wrapping up victories.
