1 Person Killed In 3-Vehicle Crash, ID Released: Milford Police

Police said one person has now died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.

MILFORD, CT — Police said Tuesday morning that Edward Henning, 73, died on Monday as a result of the injuries he sustained in a three-vehicle crash this past weekend.

Police said Henning was the driver of the Hyundai Elantra, and he died on Monday as a result of his injuries sustained in the crash. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information or who may have witnessed the collision is asked to contact PFC Dan Hemperly at (203) 783-4792.

On Monday, police said, that At 12:53 p.m. Saturday, a serious motor vehicle collision was reported near Bridgeport and Cleveland avenues. The collision involved a 2017 Ram 1500 and a 2009 Hyundai Elantra.

"An initial investigation revealed that the Ram 1500 was traveling west on Bridgeport Avenue and crashed into the Hyundai Elantra when it attempted to turn left onto Cleveland Avenue," police said in a news release.

"The collision caused the Ram to strike a third vehicle, a Hyundai Sonata, which was stopped on Cleveland Avenue," police said. "The operator of the Hyundai Elantra was transported to Bridgeport Hospital with serious injuries."
